Creative Forges Strategic Partnerships with China's High-Tech Companies at Zii Summit 2009

As Part of its Worldwide Strategy, Creative's ZiiLABS Offers China Partners a Powerful Ready Solution to Create World Class Advanced Technology Products

Singapore - 1st December 2009 : Creative Technology Ltd., a worldwide leader in digital entertainment products, and ZiiLABS, a cutting-edge media processor and platforms company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Creative Technology Ltd., today announced that they would be engaging a broad swath of China's high-tech companies with the goal of forging strong strategic partnerships.

Creative will explore with these high-tech companies how they can bring advanced technology and eco-friendly products using ZiiLABS' cutting-edge StemCell Computing Technology. They can leverage on the Zii Plaszma Platform to bring high quality, high performance products rapidly to markets worldwide.

This Zii Summit 2009 epitomises Creative's new strategy of engaging China's high-tech companies. The Summit comprises a Developer's Conference and Technical Seminars held on 1 and 2 December 2009 at the Fu-Tian Shangri-La Hotel in Shenzhen, China.

Partners at the Zii Summit 2009 will be able to view a range of OEM-ready Zii Powered devices - powered by ZiiLABS' ZMS-05 and ZMS-08 media-rich application processors. Each chip meets a unique market need - the ZMS-05 is an energy efficient chip for the mass market, while the ZMS-08 is designed for media-rich handheld devices.

The line-up of Zii Powered devices on display include a dual OS concept mobile phone which supports the Plaszma OS and Android OS, a desktop touch screen video conferencing device, a web-box, a 360° multi-view camera system, a PCI Express add-on card that instantly empowers notebooks with HD video encoding for high quality video conferencing, a pocket-sized synthesizer that can emulate the sound of some of the world's best pianos, as well as the world's smallest credit card-sized Blu-ray quality media player - based on the ZMS-08 chip.

The highlight of the Zii Powered devices line-up is the Zii TRINITY dual OS concept mobile phone - the Zii Optimized Android and Plaszma Phone. This concept mobile phone gives developers the chance to use the familiar Android OS, but with a difference. Harnessing StemCell Computing Technology found on the ZMS-05 and ZMS-08 media-rich processors, Android is now super-charged with seamless 3D graphics and high definition video playback performance.

A sneak preview of the full ZiiLife suite of services will also be unveiled, showcasing advanced content capabilities. ZiiLife is the ideal solution for content and OEM partners, giving them the potential to create future entertainment and education solutions.

The highlight of the ZiiLife services suite is ZiiMeet, the Next Generation 7M Collaborative Conferencing System. ZiiMeet is a highly scalable Multi-Purpose, Multi-View, Multi-Platform, Multi-Medium, Multi-Host, Multi-Party and Multi-Device High Definition Collaborative Conferencing Solution. This flexible system gives partners a huge potential for business opportunities.
